South-West France is situated inland from the wine region of Bordeaux near the Atlantic Ocean above the Pyrénées mountains halfway between the South west wine region and the Languedoc-Roussillon on the Mediterranea. These wine are produced on a variety of climate which bring a large diversity of different wine. You find powerful reds and depth from Malbec which brings spiciness with a high level of tannins. Like Bordeaux South-West produces Cabernet Sauvignon with more stewed fruits and less crunchy. South-West produces mouthwatering ample white from mainly Sauvignon Blanc and even sweet fortified white wine from Semillion and Petit/Gros Manseng.
